💳 Renuo Wallet

There is a Renuo wallet in the cupboard. If you like to buy croissants or anything else that is currently missing, feel free to use the wallet and buy whatever is needed. The only requirement is that the receipt is kept and placed within the wallet. It’s be needed for bookkeeping reasons.

🧠 No budgets, but brain (and some examples)

As a rule of thumb, we don’t like budgets: They make you either spend too much money (because you simply use up the given budget) or limit you in an unwanted way (because the budget sets an artificial boundary).

We prefer you to use your brain – after all we’re all intelligent enough! Think of what you need and whether it’s worth spending this amount of money. If you think that something’s worth the money, go ahead and buy it. We prefer you to potentially make a mistake instead of not acting.

The following questions may help you evaluating it:

• What’s the benefit for the company?
• Does it make you faster?
• Does it make you happier?
• How long will it take until it’s back?
• How many people benefit from it?

Want some examples, of what we have spent in the past (and felt OK with it)?

• For a screen we usually spend CHF 500–700
• Going out for dinner for a project release event usually costs CHF ~50 per person
• A team event usually costs CHF 50–100 per person (activity plus dinner)
• Ordering food into the office usually costs CHF ~25 per person
